Christmas Video Message: God Sent Forth His Son

Christmas means that you and I are adopted sons and daughters of our Creator, King, and Savior. Our kind God does not stand far off. He came down—Immanuel, God with us—to rescue and redeem you and me.

Christmas is such good news. The best news! We were condemned, enslaved and without hope. But God, because of the great love with which he loved us, put on skin and came as a baby in a manger. Hallelujah. Because of his perfect life (that we could never live), horrific death (that we deserved to die), and miraculous resurrection (conquering sin and death for you and me), we who trust in him are adopted. From slaves to sons!

It was a privilege and joy to share this Christmas message with the women of Stones Crossing Church in Indiana last week. I pray that it blesses you too!

Galatians 4:4-7

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.
